Appleton Tower is the centrepiece of the University of Edinburgh’s George Square Complex and offers five state-of-the-art lecture theatres, each seating 200 to 300 delegates, plus a teaching studio, seminar spaces and an extensive concourse area.
Reception at National Museum of Scotland
The Reception Event on Tuesday 1st July will be held in the National Museum of Scotland from 7pm – 9pm. Drinks and canapes will be served and guests will have the opportunity to explore the Kingdon of the Scots Gallery. This part of the museum explores the Gaelic heritage, the impact of Christianity and the emergence of a strong monarchy. It looks at towns and trade, and illustrates Scotland’s position in the wider world. The Kingdom of the Scots takes Scotland from the time when it emerges as a nation through to 1707, and the Union of the Scottish and English parliaments.
Conference Dinner at Dynamic Earth
The End of Conference Dinner will be held at Our Dynamic Earth on Thursday 3rd July starting at 7:30pm. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the Earthscape and Rainforest galleries before enjoying a dinner in the dramatic setting of the Stratosphere Gallery with views onto the extinct volcano, Arthur’s Seat.(Dynamic Earth website).
